Posted: 22 Nov 2006 04:31 PM CST

The San Francisco Film Society announces its Second-Ever Poster Sale. Posters from our 50 years of the San Francisco International Film Festival… & more. Hundreds of Posters including Film Rarities from Around the World & Hollywood Blockbusters

The San Francisco Film Society will hold its second-ever film poster sale on Wednesday, December 13 and Thursday, December 14 in the Palm Room of the San Francisco Film Centre, 39 Mesa Street in the Presidio, San Francisco.

As the San Francisco International Film Festival approaches its 50th anniversary it has shown nearly 6,000 films. And with those films come posters—a lot more posters than the Film Society’s Levin Archive needs. So the time has come for another San Francisco Film Society poster sale.

The posters come from all over the world, usually in the language of the country of origin. Countries represented include France, Italy, Argentina, Russia, China, Mexico, Hong Kong, Korea, Poland, Japan, India, Spain, Netherlands, Chile, Germany, Brazil, Taiwan, Iran, England and of course, the United States.

Posters from films directed by Robert Altman, Andrjez Wajda, Jean-Jacques Beineix, Manoel de Oliveira, Wim Wenders, Arturo Ripstein, Jonathan Demme, Hou Hsiao-hsien, Robert Frank, Juan Pablo Rebella, Richard Linklater, Fernando Solanas and Jim Jarmusch will be available. Film posters featuring Sean Penn, Salma Hayek, Andy Lau, Catherine Denueve and Jacky Chung will be up for grabs as well. And many, many more.

Most posters are typical theater lobby size, but some are larger (approximately 4 x 6 feet). Film stills will also be available for sale. Most posters will be priced at $5–$15, with some priced higher. All still photos are $1.

The sale opens to the general public on Thursday, December 14, 12:00 noon–8:00 pm. Film Society members are invited to a members-only preview sale Wednesday, December 13, 5:00–8:00 pm, with complimentary refreshments.
It’s all at the San Francisco Film Centre, 39 Mesa Street in the Presidio.

Pink PSP

Somehow this seemed kinda cool when we first saw it but then decided we grew out of it like we grew out of Nestle strawberry milk crystals. Maybe consider getting it for ur angsty teen niece with a blowpop and zits to match the shade.

Couldn't find this particular limeted edition artist endorsed version, but did find the regular pink colored model for a hefty price tag:
